I have a Toshiba netbook. I bumped the memory to 2 gigs (bios max). It didn't come with a CD/DVD drive, but they do sell external optical drive units. I installed Open Office on my netbook because I didn't want to overburden the poor little thing with MS Office bloat. The netbook is good for what it's intended for but I wouldn't want it to be my only computer.
