I think you've got it, no? IIRC ^ means 'to the power of' so x cubed would be x^3, z to the ninth: z^9. Is this what you're going for? Call me stupid or at best ignorant. How does one enter a formula involving exponents? I want to enter these formulae, using pseudo-syntax: (x^2 + y^2)^2 (x^2 - y^2)^2 + (2xy)^2 Where the caret represents Power of, so x^2 means x squared, and x and y represent cell locations that contain arbitrary values. Can you help? TIA! -- Arthur Cell: 647.710.1314 Prediction is difficult, especially of the future. -- Niels Bohr _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
