The internet as we know it will certainly change so I guess by definition
the internet as we know it will come to an end.  But the internet won't come
to an end.  TV used to be totally free - now we pay for it.  But there's
more content not less. Of course a lot of that content is crap.  Of course a
lot of web content is crap.  Maybe having to pay for the crap will drive the
crap out of the internet.  So having to pay for content might upgrade the
whole internet's quality.
