I agree but this is all web based and we have lifted off the desktop. 

Some fifteen years ago Arthur called me about using TV with that little bit
of help I had thought he had gone on to master the intricacies of TV. ;-)

There are lots of good good JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5 and even CSS3 
treeview controls, all free.
