Hi Martin: I have no idea...maybe it is something to do with site licenses or pre-installs from hardware suppliers (usual cost for pre-loads is about $25-$55, depending on volume, per box as opposed to $250+ for individual copies in after-market sales) but just maybe Microsoft has decided to allow, within the last couple of weeks, pre-loaded Windows 7 boxes. That would be a very smart move on their part.
