Hi Arthur, >From a recent post: Hold down the Windows key and press P. Then select Extend. Dan -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Monday, August 05, 2013 9:28 AM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: [dba-Tech] Dual Monitors on Windows 8 I have a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 64-bit, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard disk, Windows 8) to which I have an Acer external monitor attached. That part works fine, but I get the same image on both screens, and that's not what I want. I want the two screens to behave separately, so that for example I could run Access and have the app running on one screen and the code windows on the other. Can anyone tell me how to set this up? Thanks in advance -- Arthur Cell: 647.710.1314 Prediction is difficult, especially of the future. -- Niels Bohr _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
