Hi Gustav

I've got IE10, but hadn't noticed this facility. Sound good! I see a choice of TPLs (Tracking Protection Lists).
Which one(s) did you choose? What are other's experiences of this, and the choice of TPLs?

John

Subject: [dba-Tech] Remove adds

Hi all

For a long time I've been sick and tired of reading about rescue equipment, travels, sports gear I don't use (I'm a
swimmer) and so on. I've tried clicking the "remove this kind of add" sometimes offered by Google, but that just tells
the Googs that I've seen this add - so it will pop up forever and ever. Very clever.

Due to the much discussion on privacy following Mr. Snowden's doings, I decided as a first step to check out IE10's
Tracking Protection. It is a snap to turn on, zero installation, and zero cost.

It works but - much to my surprise - it also removes a lot of adds. The local newspaper sites and ComputerWorld is now
readable without adds filling half the screen, and pages load much quicker. What a relief!
