It is a).

All Pentium-level machines have a floppy interface, so you would need just a
drive and cable. Power connector is the same as that for old harddisks like
(parallel) ATA.

Hello Gustav,

I will have a look at one old machine I have here that works, if it has the
floppy cable for 51/4 then that may be all I need.

If I do not get on well on ebay, I will come back to you.

Do you have
a) one or two that you want to keep for 'just in case'
or
b) four or five that you are meaning to throw out.

I would not like to take yours if they are you last 51/4 drives but if have
more than 2 then that might be a good option ?
