I haven't noticed that it assigns functions key tasks but only that the dell notebooks I've seen it on have extra little button keys above the keyboard. For a long time it was 4 little buttons on the upper right top edge (as you see the keyboard). One would open email another the browser, etc. I would ask people if they ever use those buttons. They'd almost always respond "What buttons?" or "I never noticed them before." -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Monday, August 19, 2013 4:36 AM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] QuickSet.Exe? Thanks, John. I think I'll do just that. I notice in the little Quick Start brochure that came with my Dell that there are several assignments to Fn+<function key>. Is it QuickSet that renders those assignments? I read through the list of assignments, but I can't recall using even one of them so far.
