Hi All:

The new BitMessage mail client application is unique in that it does not require a mail server...it is totally self-contained. (Can run from a USB card.) This can be quite useful, if abroad or just out and can not get access to a email host. It also provides a level of security via encryption. (It may not be perfect but many people like to draw the curtains when getting changed.)

It original source is derived from the excellent package called BitTorrent sync (http://labs.bittorrent.com/experiments/sync.html) which is great transferring files, very fast, around your network or via UNC or VPN.

Here is a link to a broad overview of the application BitMessage:

...And here is a link to BitMessages Wiki:

https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Main_Page

...and finally how to install the package on your Linux station:

There is also a fully compiled, ready to go, Windows version, at the following address:

Have fun
Jim
