Hi Rocky, I was going to suggest that also but was worried you would be annoyed by suggesting what you had already done :) Yes, the kbd or an internal connection is now damaged. A small wireless bluetooth kdb might be an answer, MS have a very nice tiny bluetooth kdb and mouse set.
