Yes, you're right. (I remember you corrected me when I was saying here that MS Win8 "Metro" UI was mainly caused by ARM hardware limitations - I was wrong).

Yes. But Android/Google Glass UI is another sample of a "non-intrusive" flat UI.
BTW, have you watched "Iron Man 3" movie? It's for kids, I have watched it recently with my son, just wanted t note that "Iron Man" in this movie uses something like "Enhanced Google Glass": and it looks useful - I'd not mind to have something like that :)
