This has been in the works for years and now it is becoming main-stream. Adobe has already created a web based flash replacement tool, Edge (free?), to my understanding Google is going to slowly move YouTube away from flash and then the relevance of these third party plugs will be gone. OTOH, I know some third party developers who have been making a comfortable living building Flash web ads, some fellows who have a small content streaming company, which now uses a Flash-server and they all are dreading the day, when their current skills sets will not be in demand but they have resigned themselves to slowly get up to speed with the new reality. I agree, that it could not happen soon enough.
