[dba-Tech] How to crash

Hi All:

There was a discussion on the stability and the ease of crashing a program
such as C.

C is noted for its lack of safety nets and its raw and fairly rugged
approach to application development. So how easy is it to crash...or what is
the littlest number of characters needed to accomplish that task?

It appears that any major program written in C has a dozen of these bombs
waiting to can send the application into oblivion or just cause it to bleed
profusely. And those are project written by professional so you can just
imagine the disasters that can be inadvertantly created by those co-op
students. ;-)
