Hi Shamil I don't know if the 925 can screencast - never thought of that. But an app is for download which claims to be able to upload screencasts to screencast.com. Not quite the same as a direct screencast, I guess. Apps are for download from the Store only. You can have a private area for, say, in-house corporate use. If you connect the 925 via USB, it connects as a USB-stick where you have the usual folders: Documents Pictures Videos Music Ringtones That's it. And it may actually be a feature. I just read that at the Mobile Pwn2Own conference, the Chinese "Keen Team" succeeded via Safari to steal username and password for Facebook under iOS version 7.0.3 and to collect pictures from iOS version 6.1.4. And Team MBSD, Mitsui Bussan Secure Directions, Inc., could force an install of an app on a fully updated Samsung Galaxy S4 to steal confident info. No thanks. /gustav -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] På vegne af Salakhetdinov Shamil Sendt: 14. november 2013 10:33 Til: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Emne: [dba-Tech] Nokia Lumia 925 vs. Sony Xperia SP C5303 - Was: Re[2]: Have a look what can be done using modern smart-phones... Hi Gustav -- Thank you for your note. As for Nokia Lumia 925 - I still use my Nokia Lumia 800 - it's good enough for my current mobile needs. Of course I'd not mind to upgrade to a newer Nokia Lumia model but that can wait till next summer I suppose. BTW I have just compared the features of Nokia Lumia 925 and Sony Xperia SP C5303, which was used for making the subject video clip - the set of features are nearly the same, someone could tell Sony Xperia "beats" Nokia Lumia 925 taking all their features compare "en ensemble", but the price on Sony Xperia C5303 is ~250USD lower here in Russia. That is a very important "feature" for mass-market. Does your phone have a video screencast feature with or without "rooting"? The ease of accessing Android phone memory via USB to copy in it programs and scrips under development is impressing. Have you heard about any plans for Microsoft to do the same? BTW, I still have no plans to switch to an Android device for my private use here ... Thank you. -- Shamil Thursday, November 14, 2013 8:22 AM +01:00 from "Gustav Brock" <gustav at cactus.dk>: >Hi all > >This bright kid, dams (= Damir Salakhetdinov), also has a clever father who doesn't miss the moments when to sponsor. > >Thanks for the explanation.
