... Perhaps I should have said - why Crucial? Because you tell them your motherboard manufacturer and look up the model (as I did with yours), or let their scanner run on your system. They'll give you *all* the relevant information you might need for buying appropriate RAM. Being lazy, I like the bit where you buy one of the choices they list, and they GUARANTEE it'll work. Saves reading all the small print! Which of course they'll sell to you! The new motherboard is a Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. M61PME-S2P. Currently it has 4GB of DDR2 RAM, using the two slots. Is it possible to upgrade this to 8GB (2x4GB)? I run Windows 7 64-bit most often, and Ubuntu now and then. -- Arthur _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
