Thanks Bill, I wondered because there's a program for sale http://www.paragon-software.com/technologies/components/migrate-OS-to-SSD/ And I was wondering why it would be needed. I read up on it a bit and it apparently handles uEFI boot mode transfers intelligently so they don't get mucked up. And it can downsize the image to transfer to a smaller drive (I think most imagers can do that now - right?). But I have MBRs on both. -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Bill Patten Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2013 5:44 PM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] Image from SATA HD to SSD Other than turning off automatic defragers non that I can think of.
