Hi Arthur: The trouble is if the internet ever becomes regulated and filtered to the point where we do not have all these unsavory businesses it will not be the internet any more. Right now the DRM folks are trying to limit, control and monetize everything, allow stiff penalties to all who do not pay and limit the ability, of those punished, to seek legal redress. If this DRM policy was to benefit the artists, it would be palatable but it appears to just be an attempt to entrench corporate supply chains and monopolies. To take just this morning's influx, I've received the usual "Nigerian Prince" mails, plus suddenly a bunch allegedly from Singapore, most of which promise large amounts of money if only I'll divulge my banking details so as to receive some large amount of loot. But that's not my only complaint. How did all these "legit" firms like eBay, TheSource, numerous headhunters, insurance firms, etc. get my name in the first place? I admit that on occasion it's humourous. For example, this morning's email included adjacent sends from one firm that promised Fuller Breasts and another promising Expanded Penis Size. Fortunately, these companies have not yet considered the cross-marketing opportunities, otherwise we might be inundated with a massive increase in the trannies population. Not that I am against LGTV folks, not at all. Wear what you wish, sleep with whom you wish. I just wonder, at times, how these search engines work, and why they don't realize that I'm over the hill, no matter in which direction they choose to spin their ploys. -- Arthur _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
