[dba-Tech] Crowd funding

Hi All:

Crowd Funding for tech is the new big thing but even newer is the Patreon funding site. That is a site that raises funds for Art type ventures.

How successful could that be you ask. Well check out the following:

Aside: Considering that PBS is mostly funded by private donations. Fifteen percent of its expenses is provided by the government through various channels (more is now being funded by commercial advertisers) but the other 85 percent is from private donations. (An interesting note is that, this US station, as of 2013 has recorded that 35 percent of it private revenue is being provided by individual Canadian citizens.)
