In fact his entire department uses the above linked product for their various cllents. The software has a number of advantages. It can be turned off and on depending on what your activity is, it can use a number of different encryption methods depending on what PPTP client or VPN you are running, it officiates your browsing IP address and other credentials, runs on virtually any platform and there is a 'free' 2GB per month option which should work just fine for doing your monthly banking and such. It is easy to install as I did so within a few minutes on my desktop Ubuntu box.
