The problems should be easy to resolve as all the things that can be hacked are easily fixed...at least I found it so...check the add-ons list and preference/options list as there is usually so anomaly that shows up...you can also reset your browser to original. On a Windows box, check the add and remove programs section. As soon as I run the browser (my default is Waterfox, but I just tried IE and it's got the same problem. However, if I just ignore that message and enter a URL then it works. A message came up that said my Ad-Aware was outdated and that I should update. I'm pretty sure this is the culprit, and that it's a spoof. I should have sandboxed it. Doh!
