As for migrating clients from XP to Linux, there is a fine distro/skin that will make them feel right at home:

Aside: If you are a Linux person but want a new lean, very fast desktop the following distro might be your choice. XFCE has been the go-to desktop for developers wanting a sparse fast desktop but it seems that the Ubuntu MATE may be just perfect...even for clients. It is lean, fast but still very graphical and excellent for usage on remote desktops...and it runs on the latest Ubuntu 14.x core so all the functionality is available:
