Arthur, The problem is the mouse click required to choose area of interest once you start the MS Snipping Tool. The solution is to: -click cancel on the snipping tool -open the dropdown (or other dynamic feature) that you wish to capture -press the Ctrl + PrtScr key combination -choose the area you wish to capture -finish your task in Snipping Tool as usual HTH John B -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2014 9:49 AM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: [dba-Tech] Question about Microsoft Snipping tool Is there any way to tell this tool to delay its capture for a few seconds, so I can return to the screen of interest, drop down one of its menu items and then wait for the capture? I need this ability for my current writing project. So far, whenever I open a menu or a combo box then switch to the Snipping Tool, the screen of interest returns to its state prior to my opening a menu or combo box. If Snipping Tool can't do this, do you have a suggestion for a tool that can? -- Arthur _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
