All the USB ports on my laptop are 3.0. On my ancient desktop the native ports are 2.0 but I dropped in a 3.0 card which was dirt cheap, and on that box I pretty much ignore the native ports, just using two of them for headset and printer. Actually I have no reason to use the thumb drive. The last thing I installed on it was PortableApps, and since I've retired I have no actual need for even that. But in those empty moments, I'll continue to muck around with the thumb drive and maybe someday it might wake up long enough to format the little sucker. Arthur
