If this is a windows pc then you are not alone. I have been having some issues with USB drives acting weird. I usually get around it by pulling them slightly in and out a few times until it recognizes it. I thought maybe the contacts on my often used unit was the problem but it has happened to me with other units too. I blame it on some weird windows update side effect, although I can't confirm that. -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2014 8:44 AM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] Unidentified thumb drive Now this is really bizarre. Suddenly the thumb drive is recognized and appears to be working fine. Maybe it just needed some time off for R&R. Maybe I need a vacation, too.
