Hi Arthur: ? Assuming you have ran all the standard OS sound tests...apps and earphones and it is still not working, try removing and replacing the batteries and then call Dell... The volume control is set to 100% but no sound comes out, no matter which program I try. I don't often play music or vids on my laptop, so I don't know for how long this situation has been the case. Any suggestions how I can track down the problem? It's a Dell Inspiron with Windows 8.1, and it used to work just fine.
