Yes, the TypeScript online course instructor Dan Wahlin (who uses Mac AFAIS from the course videos) "hooked" me on gulp: I don't have VS2013 and I don't plan to install it, waiting for VS2015 release, so I have taken Sublime/Gulp as my development test-bed for this TypeScript course.

As for 'gulp' name/word - the first association for me is with "a gulp of cold water/beer..." :) , the second - "a gulp of freedom" - both are positive for me :)
