Hi Gustav:
The necessity the TypeScript shell is supposed to be one of the issues that the new webassembly addresses.
At some point in time C# may be part of a version of webassembly but the whole concept of universal browser based applications are diametrically opposed to what is now a company centric server and desktop based language.
I think we are stuck with JavaScript...much like the poor QWERTY keyboard. ;-)

Interesting.
But not TypeScript which rather is a superstructure to JavaScript and generates JavaScript only.
But if WebAssembly could compile C# ...

Finally, it seems that all the major browser companies are joining together on a new binary standard called Webassembly (replacing webkit, typescript, asm.js etc.)
