Beyond imagination, I would say.
As you, I recall the full-height 5.25" drives for the IBM XT. However, I have had a couple of Fujitsu drives the same physical size but with a capacity of ... 5 MB!
Think about it: 1 mio. of these drives (and a transformer station outside your building) to match today's drive.
