[dba-Tech] A Windows 10 PC the size of a phablet for $99

Hi John:
A high-definition movie, ripped from an original DVD, can be as large as 20 GBs (I have the DVD movie of Cloud Atlas). I just started to test moving that 19 GB file from a server to my laptop via wireless and it said it would take 3 hours and 25 minutes... I never completed the test of course but...
All my movies have been ripped from their original media and stored on a server and through the network they have been attached to our smartTV via a network cable.
I am sure small files will work just fine on that system but for the high-definition experience, I don't think so.
Jim

Hi Jim
I'm a real ignoramus as far as movies are concerned; what megabit-rate does a high res movie need?
The nearest thing I know about is HD TV. Downloading a one-hour program takes me about 4 minutes - at 30-odd
megabits/sec, which is what I expect with my FTTC connection - way under 54mb/s. What am I missing?

It looks like a great product. The only downside is that the device does not have a network port as the maximum
throughput on a Wi-Fi port is 54 megabits per second as opposed to 1 gigabit on a standard network connection. No high
resolution movies.

You'll need a screen (any screen -- with an HDMI cable you can use your TV if you wish), and a mouse and keyboard, but
the box itself is the size of a phablet, and comes with 2GB of RAM, 18GB of disk space, 2 USB ports, and Windows 10 Home
edition pre-installed. It's from InFocus and is called the Kangaroo
