I didn't find  similar Flash control setting in FF. You can set a protection setting, but it's not the same thing. At least, the info about it doesn't read that way. 

Interestingly, things got better later in the day.

It's Susan who's using FF with win10. I use Chrome, and block execrable Flash with the Flash Control extension, so I can ignore most Flash content.
