Intel has been working for over ten years to build a high-performance Linux, which utilizes all a system's hardware. According to the latest stats Clear Linux is the fastest Linux. It is less of a desktop and more of a server, similar to CoreOS, which supports Containers and application distribution.

It is very lean. No one is ever going to say its good looking other from a Minimalist perspective but its design is very clean and its performance is stellar.

Aside: I wonder when Microsoft is going to officially release its version of Linux? It is supposed to look like Windows 10 but with a Debian/Ubuntu core.
