[dba-Tech] Windows 10 drivers NVIDIA geforce monitor

I used it and wasn't enamored enough not to return to Firefox. But I just tried it and apparently my upgrade to W10 broke it. So, ok, uninstall, download, reinstall. I'll give it another go. See if I can figure out why it's better.

I judge that from the outside, of course. I don't care if it uses less memory unless my current browser runs into trouble because it uses too much memory. The memory usage is transparent to me. So it really operates just like ie, Firefox, Chrome, etc. Some differences in UI but none in functionality that really pop out. What am I missing? What should I look for when I get it up and running again?

Hi All:

An aside: I have been using the new Vivaldi Browser. It is nice and modern in its feel and function. I have found it to be very quick, can have its layout changed, on the fly, it takes less memory than other browsers. It even has a new feature than allows a user to suspend a tab "silent tab"...the tab is still available but all the tab's functions are suspended and all library are detached...this reduces its memory but still allows a tab to be restarted as needed.

Recently, if you are a Netflix user, an update allows the app to be easily integrated: http://bit.ly/2arrECe (note: the attached article is dated from last year.)

It supports all major OSs and can be downloaded from: https://vivaldi.com/download/?lang=en

Hi John

You didn't have to do that. IE is still around in Win 10, just type it.

That worked. Windows 10 Installed "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" for the NVIDIA display. I then went to NVidia's site and scanned for drivers and it told me I had the latest and specified the card series and all the fine details. That part took a while because their site's device scanner uses java and Edge won't work with it so I had to install Firefox and Java right away.
