Yes, it does. If you have multiple SQL Server instances/versions you will have to choose which to connect to; I used 2012 SSMS w/ that and 2005. However, SQL Server Agent doesn't work with Express.

Does SSMS work with Express? I use SQL Server 2008 for everything but I am working on a game which I hope to use express for. It would be nice to be able to use SSMS with the express version. I assume if it does I will beed a later version of SSMS?
