"Learn how to use your software - or at least identify which software you have! ;-)

If they read an old auto manual that said to "push in the clutch", what would they do?

It's not going to pretty for people like me. I still get hate mail over the ribbon, as if somehow it's my fault. ☹ 

I got a really nasty email from a guy last week who mentioned that my instructions say to use the xxxx menu, but there IS NO xxxx menu. The subject text was "Your article sucks." 

I responded with a simple message -- if there's no menu than you're using a ribbon version. The article you're referring to is very old. 

I wanted to get snarky about not recognizing the difference and work the word sucks in there, but I behaved myself -- you know... your powers of observation suck. That article is over six years old! 

What do you say to people like that?
