There is a windows hidden folder but you cant safely delete it afaik. Named C:\ ~BT something or other.

Can try that. Mostly on office pro on it. Its weird. Did think there must be hidden windows update files etc somewhere.

So it's programs? 52GB of software?
If so I would uninstall enough of them to get the update done and then reinstall them. Is that practical?

Can you just use a USB drive and copy off 8-16GB of stuff and restore it later?

Hi Martin
Start with Disk Cleanup (drive C:, Properties) and click "Clean up system files". When ready calculating, mark everything to delete.

I have surface pro 2. Nothing stored on it. I need to recover as much disc space as I can. At least 10gb. Any ideas?
