[dba-Tech] VPN

Hi Rocky

I've never used it, and as Edge and Bing work so well for us, it is far away from the top of my list of things to investigate when time allows.

Got it. Thanks. I'll switch over to Edge/Bing for a while - see what it's like.

How about Duck Duck Go? The silly name aside, they promise not to be storing your searches and clicks.

Hi Rocky

First, it is default and it works perfectly for me. Why bother installing third-party search engines - there already is so much else to manage and spend time on.
Second, I prefer to leave my searching and browsing history at Microsoft rather than at Google.

Also, the few times I think Bing doesn't get it and I open the Google site and repeat the search using Google, I see the negative side of Google trying to be smart - bunches of irrelevant hits, that Google "thinks" I might be interested in, often far from my usually very exact key words.

Why do you prefer Bing to Google?

Whatever you set it to use in the settings. Default is Bing. Every browser has an option to change the default search engine. I set it to Bing on every browser. If you need google you can always type it, set a bookmark or with Firefox, click the option drop down on the search box.

If you just type a search into the address bar, what engine does it use?

Hi Rocky

Indeed. That's Bing. Works great, contrary to all the bashing it receives.

I'm using Firefox as my browser, now. And Google for search engine.

So you use Edge's search engine?
