[dba-Tech] VPN

Just an aside for local and extended familiar system: At the command prompt the SSH app can be used to connect to and transfer data, fully encrypted, with keys, to and from any computer. Using it may initially be a daunting learning curve but once familiar with it's many features, it becomes an indispensable tool... A number of new local businesses have been using this to quickly, securely transfer documents and sync data with full automation if required.

It should be automatically installed on all new Windows10 desktops and MS servers (64bit only). I just test every station/server by entering SSH at the command prompt and install it if necessary. ;-)

It’s not a vpn. A vpn is a secure encrypted connection between you and the server so that no-one can spy on your traffic.

OpenDNS just lets you filter out content at the router so that no one in your house can see it. But by using it, it’s really cut down on the malware on my computers. I think Vipre has found 3 things in 4 years...
