Hi Gustav:

I may surprise you but I think Edge is a fine browser especially as MS is now making every effort to support modern standards. 

As I have recently stated, I am out of the full-time business but I do dabble with old clients, friends, relatives and even have assumed an advisory role in some new network installations (mostly with mixed OS versions). Many Microsoft businesses have migrated to either Chrome or FireFox on their own. 

I do hate too many targeted ads though and subsequently like setting DuckDuckGo as the default search engine for that reason...I am waiting for some browser to make it easier to switch search engines to the users current requirement.

Microsoft has been trying to win me over with the following:

Fair enough, indeed as you refrain from the usual bashing of Edge.
However, my opinions in this area are purely based on practical business usage.

That is my understanding as well.

Aside: I would not absolutely trust the opinions of either Gustav or myself as we are both a little bit fanatical when it comes to operating systems. I am a serious Linux nut and Gustav is a true blue corporate Microsoft man all the way. ;-)
