I am sorry about that. I should have looked at the forum before commenting. 

As to a Media Monkey equivalent, Peter, I think your idea's a good one. I do not know all the features of Media Monkey so I do not know if there is an exact match but that said, there are a host of alternatives that one article listed:

Or bizarre, but the Forsd and Conrad Black notwithstanding, Toronto has

IIRC this thread started as a question about a Media Monkey equivalent 
on Linux. Arthur could you not run MM is a Win VM under Linux?
