Yeah Security is an inconvenience. and True security can make life
difficult. As all things in life, the measure of how secure you "need"
something is all up to how much inconvenience is it to you when the account
is compromised.

I don't think VPN is the equivalent of a security system calling the cops
everytime a door opens. but I do think that it makes sense to power up a
VPN when banking or purchasing on your computer. I think this to be a fair
statement in the case of when you have a private network, and those
computers are not all 100% managed by you. Such as Amazon Echo devices,
Security cameras, other home automation devices and hubs. These devices
have been known to be victims of companies taking shortcuts and do not
always apply all the proper security to them. this leaves them vulnerable
to hackers. This could include your wifi router depending on how well you
manage it, and how well the parent company manages security threats.

Bottom line, if you aren't sure, you should run a VPN. as for the Apple
Comment... well, that's just bananas that you blame others for not keeping
your own details for security questions. and I answer them like that as
well, the question and answer have nothing to do with each other. but I
keep these logged in 1Password.
