Hi all

You may "elevate" a user account to grant it administrator rights, but what
is the opposite action called?
To "lover" the account sounds a bit primitive, I think.
I've seen "de-elevate" used, but that word doesn't exist in the online
dictionaries.

I can find "detrude", but is that too exotic or not appropiate in this
context?

What would you suggest?
