[dba-Tech] Phone Modem

Back in 1982(ish) I had built a sbc which ran cpm86.  I used it to dial out
to bulletin boards and download software.  That's when I learned about
local long distance...  I lived in north san diego county, and I dialed a
BBS in the next county but a different area code.  Spent hours downloading
software.  I wasn't informed it was "local" long distance.

Got my phone bill!

I about had a heart attack.
