I do have a camera, but I don't know if mine has facial recognition. I will
check, but probably not. 

Also, no thumbprint like my phone. 

Thank you everyone -- such good ideas. I just need to adjust my attitude and
stop letting this short delay annoy me so much.

Does your laptop have a camera?  My laptop is set up to recognize my face
during power up.

Alternatively all my Windows 10 PC's, two desktops and the one notebook, use
a 4 digit numerical pass-code during startup.  I hardly remember what the
actual password IS.  I do have it written down.
<grin>  I think it's all using my Windows or Microsoft Account.
