I install LibreOffice and Thunderbird for all that can get past the social pressure to install MS Office. There are additional apps that mirror others not included in that mix but those2 are 99% of what people need.

Is Libre Office a viable alternative? That's free, yes? She doesn't need Access, but does use Outlook.
