Hi Shamil

< I think our latest posts did not reach the list ...>

Oh, if John has the Action Pack (I believe so) and take the tiny test to qualify for the complimentary web developer tools, these will not be send from day-to-day, it could take months. So I think we have to rely on John using the free Express edition no matter what.

Hi Gustav at all,

If John can get Action Pack with VS2006 Standard spenidng one hour - that would be the best for all of us. Maybe we can help John spend less than one hour to acquire the Action Pack by prefilling some forsm for him, preparingh the list of links to visit etc.
Are youure the cost of this Action Pack acquisition is only one hour? (Not counting installation of VS2008 Standard).

No, we do not need Add-ins I think.

If C# 2008 Express can't be used to design ReportViewer reports then we can separate the part of application with reports in compiled classlib .dll and this classlinb with reports can be referenced from C# 2008 Express solutiuon.

I do not have C# 2008 Express to test how it can work, do you?

Does somebody else "lurking" here have C# 2008 Express or VB 2008 Express plus has ReportViewer 2008 (or 2005) related assemblies/runtimes installed on the same PC?

I can prepare test VB 2008 Soltiuon Application with referenced classlib with sample ReportViewer report to test how it works.

For C# 2008 Express such test solutions are prepared here (!new some fixes for ReportViewer compiled classlibs):

http://smsconsulting.spb.ru/download/scrum/nwnet3.zip
(copy
http://shamils-4.hosting.parking.ru/download/nwnet3.zip)

The above archives have:

- NorthWind.NET.Express2008 - FE C# project with compiled classlibs one of which has sample ReportViever 2008 report;

- and NorthWind.NET.VS2008SS - just FE with sample ReportViewer 2008 Report

Thank you.
