Hi SCRUM team at all, Today I have tested C# 2008 Express with VS2008 Prof. solution, which you have got downloaded from http://smsconsulting.spb.ru/download/scrum/nwnet3.zip that was the solution named NorthWind.NET.VS2008 - usual VS2008 solution with WinForms FE project, console project and several class library projects. One of the classlibs has also ReportViewer control and .rdlc placeholder report. That solutuon wascompiled, built and run OK. I have done C# 2008 Express installation from "All-in-One" Express CD freely available on MS site http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/offline.aspx I have also installed Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2005 Service Pack 1 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=82833F27-081D-4B72-83EF-2836360A904D&displaylang=en The above installations were done of a Win XP2 SP2 without .NET Framework. Recap: 1) C# 2008 Express compiles, builds and runs well VS2008 Prof. Solutions with several source projects and source class libraries http://smsconsulting.spb.ru/download/scrum/cs2008express1.jpg 2) C# 2008 Express does need additionally MS Report Viewer Redistributable Service Pack 1 installation to run ReportViewer control reports http://smsconsulting.spb.ru/download/scrum/cs2008express2.jpg 3) C# 2008 setup installs quite some other prerequisites http://smsconsulting.spb.ru/download/scrum/cs2008express.jpg BUT 4) C# 2008 Express *does not* have design mode for ReportView Control reports - .rdlc files - they have to be edited manually as text(XML) files within solution. 5) C# Express doesn't have debug/release modes but still code can be debugged ===================== Thank you. -- Shamil -----Original Message----- From: "Mike Mattys" <mmattys at rochester.rr.com> To: "Salakhetdinov Shamil" <mcp2004 at mail.ru>,"Discussion concerning Visual Basic and related programming issues." <dba-vb at databaseadvisors.com> Date: Tue, 3 Mar 2009 12:10:06 -0500 Subject: Re: [dba-VB]Scrum & C# - VS versions we have > The version I purchased is product UEH-00006 > If necessary, I could upgrade with some help. > > - > Michael R Mattys > MapPoint and Database Dev > www.mattysconsulting.com > - > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Salakhetdinov Shamil" <mcp2004 at mail.ru> > To: "Salakhetdinov Shamil" <mcp2004 at mail.ru>; "Discussion concerning Visual > Basic and related programming issues." <dba-vb at databaseadvisors.com> > Sent: Tuesday, March 03, 2009 2:36 AM > Subject: Re: [dba-VB]Scrum & C# - VS versions we have > > > > Hi All, > > > > I wanted to post the current status of VS versions we have: > > > > Gustav: VS2008 Standard and VS2005 Standard > > Mike: VS2008 Prof. (is on the way) > > Doug: VS2008 Prof. > > John: VS2005 Standard > > Shamil: VS2008 Prof. and VS2005 Prof. > > ==== > > > > Shoudln't we try to find a way to help get John get upgraded to VS2008 > > Standard? > > > > Any thoughts on that issue? > > > > Mike, the MSDN version you ordered has just one license or more?
