Right, except for some potential 64-bit issues? I think the driver issue was solved, but I haven't worked with it myself.
And Visual Studio just loooves SQL Server Compact Edition!

Oh, I missed that. That rules out the SQL Server engine and leaves you with
the file based options. You can freely include and deploy SQL Server Compact
Edition.
