I did this for a client's app (in C#). We went with SuperSignature: http://www.supersignature.com/ If I remember, SuperSignature had a lot fewer options than RealSignature, but did what we wanted (simple signature capture on a web app focused on iPhone use) and was considerably cheaper. Their copy protection is a little quirky, but their tech support was helpful.
