Hi Gustav --

Thank you for your information.

I personally do not plan to work (and even to play) with MS LightSwitch.
I can be wrong - but as far as I have heard/read HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript will
soon (in a few years?) make Adobe Flash and SilverLight(?) a kind of
"obsolete" technologies:

http://ntt.cc/2010/03/15/will-html5-css-javascript-really-be-flash-and-silve
rlight-killer.html

and iPad doesn't support Adobe Flash (does it support Silverlight?) - and
according to the referred above article everybody will soon have an iPad :)

Thank you.

Hi Shamil

For a small project I recalled LightSwitch and wondered if it had moved
anywhere.
It has, and has even been labeled Go Live. I guess it means some kind of
improved level of support.

That took me a couple of minutes - and another couple to copy and paste the
links and post these here.
Then I browsed the development pages a little and people and the team seem
quite active.

But I still miss the time for testing ...

Hi Gustav --

How do you manage to find free time to watch for and to even try(?!) Beta
releases of MS software?
I can't find that free time...

Thank you.

Hi all

Here is a better, though still brief, introduction to the new beta:

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/lightswitchgeneral/threads
Click at the top under Announcements the topic:
Visual Studio LightSwitch Beta 2 Released with Go Live License!

<quote>
.. We'd also like to announce that Beta 2 comes with a "Go Live" license
which means you can now start using Visual Studio LightSwitch for production
projects </quote>

Hi members of "VS2010 SP1 club"

Then those interested in true RAD may proceed obtaining the recent
LightSwitch Beta 2 which requires VS2010 SP1:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=cff6c4ef-a29a-4c
82-9a59-8a3bbb65ec3d

The Beta 1 must be uninstalled first.
Apart from many minor improvements "too numerous to mention" as the team
tells, an interesting new feature is direct deployment to Windows/SQL Azure.

Also, the Visual Studio LightSwitch Beta 2 Training Kit:
